This year's Edinburgh Marathon was not with controversy. As the sun beat down and water mysteriously disappeared, but once again Dragons triumphed over adversity as 18 runners took part and completed the 26.2 miles on probably one of the hottest days of the year.

As well as the challenge of completing 26.2 miles there was the heat, no breeze, little shade, congestion, severe water shortages for those further back - and to cap it all Ruth had to argue with the marshalls as they were closing part of the course because of their own poor organisation!
