Rumour has it that Dragons Running Club is around 14 years old and is now on its third change of gym - starting with The Manor, then Dragons and now LA Fitness.

As a running club we cater for beginners to advanced runners, with a good proportion of the club having completed half marathons - and a fair few having done more than one marathon.
Because we are based at a gym, you must be a full gym member in order to join the running club.

If you are not already a member of the running club but want to join (and you are a gym member) then please find one of the coaches during the week and they will take it from there.
Dragons currently has around 150 paid up members of the running club; this means we receive 3 London Marathon places courtesy of England Athletics.
Membership costs £10.00 per year and for that you receive your England Athletics card which enables you to enter races at a discounted club rate as well as other benefits. The main advantage to being a member is the boost it will give to your running!
Committee
Dragons has an AGM in January, where anyone can put forward to be voted on to the committee to act as Treasurer, Secretary, Chairman. The current Chairperson is Jo Wood.

Please note - Dragons is a running club, not a PLC. Coaches and committee members are voluntary and give up a lot of time and effort to ensure members continue to be motivated to get fit and stay healthy through running - as a member you need to do your bit as well.
