Here is a short profile of our friends based in Kent.
Mick Jefferies, our main contact, who following competing in the Alnwick Harriers Northumberland Coastal Run and meeting members of our club approached myself some 2 years ago with the idea of becoming UKA affiliated members through Dragons Runners in Leeds.
Initially around 8 members became affiliated to us. The total is now in excess of 30 runners.
Below are a few pictures and a pen-picture of one member of the Kent club.

Good luck from all Dragon's Runners

Pen-picture of Nic Jefferys "I started running in 2006 whilst "resting" between jobs and started a result of speaking to Don Johnson in the gym. Before that day I was a confirmed off road cyclist and sometime swimmer with no interest in running. He persuaded me to run to the Malta pub about 2 miles up towpath on the Medway even though i wasnt keen.  I have got to say Ii nearly died half way there but Don got me through and from there on I haven't looked back.  Running is now a regular Sunday morning event (and other days if Ii get chance) for me , which if Ii miss it makes me feel as if I have let myself done. Through training with the "Sunday crew" I have improved my fitness no end and have several Half marathons under my belt now with the next step being London Marathon 2011."
